Proposed changes to the Timber Release Plan
The Timber Release Plan (TRP) identifies areas called coupes that may be harvested for timber over the coming years.

- Summary of proposed changes to the TRP
- Proposed new coupe boundaries on existing coupes, based on improved planning information
- The addition of new driveways required for access to existing coupes
- The removal of coupes that are no longer scheduled for harvesting
VicForests will not be harvesting old growth forest.
The old growth indicated in the DELWP spatial layer is based on modelled old growth, not surveyed and identified old growth forests, and is indicative only. VicForests will identify old growth forest through field surveys and protect old growth forest stands from harvesting.
In planning and conducting timber harvesting operations, VicForests will comply with the conservation measures and actions in the Greater Glider Action Statement.

Explanation of TRP Changes
New coupes
New area proposed for harvesting which has been added to the TRP.
Boundary modification
A proposed modification to the boundary of an area which is already approved on the TRP.
Coupe removal
An unharvested area to be removed from the TRP.
Access requirements - driveway
A proposed area which will be used to access approved TRP coupes.
