The vast majority of Victorian native forests will be left in their natural state; we only harvest about 0.04% of the state’s native forests.
From pre-planned harvesting, commercial timber sales and the ongoing planting and regrowth of our precious natural resource. VicForests ensures that any forest area we harvest is regenerated for the benefit of generations to come.
The care and sustainability of Victorian native forests is always their primary concern, no matter what their role. Many of them have specialist degrees and have spent their life working in the forest.

The timber we produce has a hardness, strength, durability and beauty that is unique to slow grown native hardwood. It’s used to produce high quality furniture, flooring and other building materials as well as quality writing and office paper.
