Reports
VicForests is highly scrutinised with extensive internal, external, certification and regulatory audits taking place each year (Responsible Wood Standard audits are three years with surveillance audits every nine months).
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) also conducts regular audits of VicForests’ operations as part of its Forest Audit Program.
These audits assess VicForests compliance with the regulations which govern native timber harvesting in Victoria and are performed each year along with VicForests’ own internal auditing.
VicForests is also subject to VAGO audits as and when required.
